Hi all. I am not new to having a fish tank, but for sure new to having this problem. I have a 55 gal fresh water tropical tank. It has at one time had 88 fish of every sort. Rainbows, neons, corys, loaches, angels etc... My tank, and fish made it on a 10 hour drive from PA to Va with not one single fish dying. Then one day my mother went to Pet Partners, and bought me 4 Molly's. Within one week every fish I had was dead. Some of them I had for nearly 4 years. If you are like me you understand my pain, and anguish. I have since relocated to Knoxville, Tn. I have started my tank all over again, and yet still the only fish that will survive are cory's, loaches, and neons. Every single fish I buy dies. I have 4 filters, a UV sterilizer, and a canister pump. I miss having so many fish to watch, and enjoy. I have been using a water filter for fresh, clean water only, but have noticed in my filter's these worm looking things. Please help. I want my beautiful tank back again! Any suggestions?

Hello welcome to the forum.

Before reading this post I read your other post  It appears to me the reason you do not get much help is you are not supplying sufficient information. You were asked for some information so we can help you but you started the same post again.

This forum prides itself in helping people with problems in fact this forum has helped me countless times as well as many others, one thing this forum needs is accurate information so we ask you provide the following:

1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc)
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.
3. How often you do water changes and how much.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
5. What tank mates are in the tank? Just saying loach and Corys is not specific for example are they Panda Corys or Zebra loach
6. Tank size is it a corner tank a tall tank a long tank what are the actual dimensions?
7. How did you cycle your tank?
8. Are you aware of stocking to the size of your tank?
9. Do you do research into different species of fish as whats good for one species is not necessarily good for another?

Testing your water I notice you have been advised on this already but I will repeat that information Test strips are no good they are very unreliable there are many different liquid test kits on the market most would recommend API master test kit Salifert test kits I would recommend as well, Taking your water to a fish shop and them saying everything is fine is not sufficient as you have been advised we need numbers .

Pictures would help of your sick fish and the worms you keep mentioning and on that matter.

If you provide some information then the people in the know will give you some advice

This post maybe better in Tropical fish emergency's and I have reported this to the moderators so they may move it good luck.

Regards onebto.

How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Can you give a description of the worms.
Symtoms the fish showed before death.

If you had 88 fish in a 55 gallon tank it was very overstocked.
