Help!

Hiya, ive got a goldfish & he's had a long string coming out of him for 2 days now. At first I thought it was just poo but a little bit breaks off & more comes out!!

Like I said its the second day now...should I worry???

what tanksize is it in and what are the water stats?
if water stats are unknown then how often do you feed, do water changes,
what filtration is on the tank?

Its just a bowl..I feed him about 4/5 small pellets twice daily and do a full water change once a month. It has a filter, gravel and plant in there but its definatley big enough for one fish. He doesnt seem unwell at all & I always use TAP SAFE when changing his water

Unfortunately bowls are no way near big enough for Goldfish, It is a theme that has become common practice these days but in reality is cruel,
If a goldfish is kept in a bowl, then you really should be doing at least two 50% water changes each week. Also in a filtered tank you should never change all of the water in one go.
You seem to also be feeding way too much, 2/3 pellets once per day is more than enough

Have you ever tested the water at all?
I can pretty much guarantee that after being in the same water for more than 1 week the water quality will contain soo much nitrite and ammonia (basicly poison) that it will be slowly killing the fish.
