Im not sure why, but my female sowrdtail had only been having 1 fry at a time lately.I know that the fish arent eatng them because i look in the tank every day like 5 times a day. Well, i looked in it today for like the 3rd time and saw there was a fry in the tank. I moved everything around to check for more, and found that there was no more. This is the second time this has happened.

Also, the first single fry grew up fine, but this one is smaller than the normal fry. I have it in a breeder cup right now, and i have fed it some finely crushed fish flakes, but im not sure what else to do. Do I have to feed it something special, or do something special with it? Also, my swordtail has been having fry almost every month. I got my fish from my teacher, and she said that the fish almost never had any fry while hse has had them, but mine like i said are haaving them almost every month....Please help me!Im not sure what to do about this.

They are eating them, you just dont see it( like during night time, or wile your at school). All fry are tiny when born. If you want them to grow as fast as possible do frequent water changes, and feed them Frozen Baby Brine shrimp multiple times a day!Any other Question's?

i am pretty sure htat they arent eating themmm. not to be rude or anything, but like i said, i check every single dday 5 or 6 there is one more question...Is it normal for a female swordtail to have fry every month? Because as i pointed out earlier, mine has been having fry every month, but when my teacher had them, they never had any fry...am i taking better care of them, and thats why shes having so many fry?Or is it something else?

I wont be able to answer immediatly, i have to leave for a few...

What are the tankmates (and size of tank).
EDIT: Just sean your sig, so I'm going to presume its only got swordtails in (they still eat their own young though). Add plenty of plants and you should see more fry.

The tank is a 10 gallon, and right now it is only the swordtails, but i am thinking about getting mollys or platys also. And ty, i will add more plants asap. tyvm for your help =)
