Help

how long have you had him?
can he see a reflection in something even if its dark he could see a movement?

ive had him for about a month, and in the tank for 2 or 3 weeks
he is constantly seeing his reflection
what can i do about that?
my old betta was much more chill and westly is worrying me b/c he'll get sick from being stressed b/c hes flarring so much

If he's new, he'll calm down once he's used to his new surroundings.

EDIT:
Just saw your reply... I'm actually not sure how you can prevent him from seeing his reflection in the tank. Not sure if putting a piece of paper up against it would help or not?

its really strange, within 3 days of putting him in, he was making bubble nests
but has stopped
maybe the guy isnt horny anymore lol
and i put a background up agains it and he did not like that
nor did he like black paper

does he have any plants to hide in?? if he does then how many?? if he has nothing ten you might want to consider getting him afew so that he can hide in them or some other sor of decoration he can hide in. outside of that idk what to tell you.

I have never had one that upset to be honest...they normally calm down quite quickly. Can you move the tank or is it too big?

he has a cave and 4 plants he can hide in
and i can move the tank but i dont have anywhere to put it
im in a dorm

I have had a betta do the same thing it is the acrylic tanks that makes the reflection so clear from the inside. I left mine in the tank and he has slowed down some but not much. I have been looking for a glass 5 gallon for him, he seems to think he needs the room. If i put him in a regular glass fishbowl he stops flaring but also just circles. I feel the flaring is less stressful for him. Besides he is a lovely nightlight at night. I have a 1 1/2 gallon set up to use but haven't decided which fish gets tortured next, I might just keep it for a few extra plants.
