The bubble wand should be fine in the main tank, but if you issolate him yes you do need alot of aeration as meds reduce 02 in the tank.

Right now we're assuming all the fish remaining in the tank are healthy. Should we medicate them just to be on the safe side, or would that hurt them??

Just some daily water changes on the main tank.
