Help With Fish And Decoration In Tank

hi i have a 50l tank what kind of tropical fish can i get were they will all be happy togeather and not kill each other, also how long do i have to do a cycle with out fish in?


also you might have seen my fish tank its looking kind of empty i need your help in what stuff to buy to decorate it out,

Hi chris,

When I first setup my tank, I went down the route of a fishless cycle as I think thats kinder, I couldnt bare the thought of dropping fish in toxic water so thumbs up for your fishless cycling. My fishless cycle took about 4-5 weeks, all I needed was a source of ammonia and a good test kit and the rest is a waiting game. It is somewhat frustrating to wait, but i'd rather be responsible and provide my little fishies with a safe home. One thing I got used to and completely ignored is the LFS constantly trying to sell me products to speed up the cycling process..never...I say let it happen naturally.

If you do fishless cycling the results can be deceptive, one day there all at zero and then bam..huge ammonia spike so thats why its best to be patient. It's really and easy and once that first month is over and your tank has settled down, its a joy
