Help With Fin Rot

i have ordered some myxazin off ebay (my local pet stores dont have anything like this). should be here early next week

For some reason I've never seen it in the shops. It's generally pretty good when yuo get it from e-bay. A word of warning it will turn the sealant on your tank blue and don't spill it as it will dye anything it touches blue. I accidentally dropped some on a towel last week (thank fully it's a towel I use for drying fish stuff so it's ok) but I'm glad I did as otherwise it would have been all over my parents dining room table!!!

Well Thai's eyes are still bad, cloudy and 'pop eyed'.
My Indian almond leaves arrived yesterday so input 1 in his tank, a few hours later a lovely bubble nest and lots of flaring at me. Silly boy his is, he is ment to be poorly

The myxazin was delivered today so after his daily water change I added the treatment.

My query. Myxazin is a 5 day treatment course, do i also do his daily water changes?

Thais last treatment was today, his tail is staring to grow back but his eyes still arnt right.
He will be getting his water change tomorrow.
Do I give him another 5 day treatment? Just don't want to over load him on meds but I'm not happy that his eyes arnt better yet.

When I've used Myxazin I've done a 5 day treatment and then waited 3 days and then done a full/almost full water change and the re-medicated if need be

I'm going to give him another course of the treatment from tonight, his tail is growing good but his eyes are still cloudy and popped...

Glad the rot seems to be improving Vicki but sorry about his eyes. The Myxacin is meant to cover popeye so hopefully a second course will get it sorted for you. Poor little mite. I know how worried you must be. Hope you see an improvement very soon hun xx

fingers crossed his eyes improve
he seems fine in himself, although he seems to rest on his plant a lot more than usual.
Poor fella has been through it all x

His fins have started to grow; thats great.

One of my girls got pop eye and she needed a second dose of medicine to get rid of it for her; you might need to do it a third time if no improvement.

Yes he has some lovely regrowth coming thorough, still looks like he has been through the washing machine though

So happy his fins are growing back, just need to sort his eyes out now.

Poor baby It's lovely to see all that fin growth seeing as he's been soooo poorly Really hope that his eyes pick up soon. xxx
