My father in law has tried successfully (one fry raised to adult size counts as success right?) to breed brownorums for 3 years now. I was hoping to pass along some advice to him that would help raise his success rate. Anyone here have experience with them?
He asks me constantly about helping him, but i am mostly clueless when it comes to most Anabantoids.
His summer time setup is a 100 gallon feed trough filled with 2 papyrus plants and some water hyacinths. Obviously this is when the most breeding occurs because of the abundance of food. His winter time setup is a 40 gallon 36x20x12 inch container with 1 papyrus and supplemented feeding with pellet. He has had limited success in the winter, which is where i would like to help him since he has the most time to work with them during this time.
