When you get a chance would you please post some pictures. I had a mated pair of Angelfish years ago but never saw any fry from them.

Here are some pictures of the fry and their parents. They are in separate tanks. I was able to take pictures of the parents kissing each other.

Hi Colin, this is an update on my Angelfish fry. So far there has been an improvement on the situation. Just few of them still spinning around but a lot less than before, and When I feed them, many of them would swim upside down chasing the the live baby brine shrimps.
I am doing 70% daily water change and adding the aquarium salt amount that you recommended. I also added a UV sterilizer to the tank and run it 24/7 to kill any free swimming parasites and viruses. I am thinking of increasing the amount of salt as you mentioned in your comment to make it 2 full tablespoons in the 5 Gallon tank ( 20 liters), and continue for 2 more weeks. What would you recommend?.
Also, I just placed a new Angelfish eggs batch in another 5 Gallons tank to hatch them. What do I need to do in order not to have the new hatch get infected with the same parasites that makes them spinning around. I mean a prevention plan to protect the new hatch?.
Please let me know.
I deeply thank you and everyone for all your support here to fix my fish issue!!!
Hi Colin, Almost all my angelfish fry back to spinning and swimming on their back. I have been applying your recommendations and they were getting better. Just yesterday, they are back to spinning. I do not know what went wrong or what I did wrong, I am afraid that the new batch will hatch in a couple of days and will be same. Please advise. Also, how do I prevent the new hatch from getting infected with the same parasites? Thank you

Unless I missed something you said you had an outside power filter and a sponge filter. Is the intake on the HOB fixed so that the fry don't get sucked in ? Like with a sponge or piece of nylon ? Fry would go all whirly giggy on you if they went through an impeller even with the flow set down low. Don't worry about the detritus worms, the salt will kill them. Salt is at 4 teaspoons per 10 gallons. Old time aquarists use salt all the time. It cures things before they become a problem. Sodium ions, as with salt, do not contribute to water hardness but some plants don't tolerate it. Back off to 3 teaspoons per 10 gallons and most plants will be unaffected. Don't use straight R/O. You do need some mineral in the water. Use a TDS meter if you have one and keep your water about 150 PPM. That's your new water before it goes in the tank and BEFORE you add the salt. The salt will show you somewhere around 600 PPM.
