Continue adding ammonia for another week yet after getting double zeros for the first time, this is called the 'qualifying week' and is to make sure you dont get any blips in the cycle, after a full week of double zeros in 12 hours after adding ammonia then do a large 90/100% change to get rid of nitrates. The bacteria in the filter will be fine after the water change as the beneficial bacteria lives in the filter, not the water.

Also note that after the qualifying week you should keep adding ammonia upto the day before adding fish, stop adding ammonia about 12-18 hours before the first fish go in to ensure all the ammonia is cleared in time

The temp all depends on what fish your are thinking of keeping, for most community tanks a temp of 26/27 degrees is recommended.

Thanks very much
so carry on going as per normal this week.
is it possible to plant the tank during this week before i do the large water change?
ginga

i would turn the heater down to 24-25 27 would still be to hot.

So i turn the temp down now ??
to allow water to cool beor doing the water change lets say friday night??my other question still is can i plant the tank out this week r=then do my water change friday?

Yes you could add plants now if you wish as its basically cycled and is just in the its finishing stages. If you keep adding ammonia until friday, if your still seeing double zeros each day then it will be fine on friday to do the water change ready to add fish on saturday.

You could drop the temp to 25/26 if you wish, my tank always runs between 27-29 even though the heaters never on, its just the room temperature that keeps the tank at them levels and I've never had any probs.

Get few plant tomorrow, clean them
plant them wednesday
friday to huge 90% water change ... is filter ok just to be left in place oand off while i empty and refill tank
tank to be refilled with treated tap water friday night
