My 20g tank has a 3" plec, 3 1" bala shark and a 1" red tail shark.

The red tail has Ich spots but no other fish do.

Ive been putting salt in but Im wondering what will happen next?

Water is fine just changed.

What type of plec is it. I wouldn't add salt with plecs. They don't tolerate it to well.

The tank to small for the red tailed shark and bala shark.
Bala shark need large tanks of 100 gallons as they grow bigger. Also they need to be kept in a group of no less than three.

You need to use a whitespot med. Read instructions as sensitive fish like plecs you have to half dose with some brands.
Remove black carbon from filter if you use it.
Increase aeration as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Raise temp to 30.

OMG i did my usual water change today and 5 of my fish died and some look like they are struggling for survival.
I have 125 gal tank with cichlids. Had it for about 4 months now with no problems. Every 2 weeks i do about 10-15% water change. Its always been fine. Today i did it and i just looked at my tank and 5 of the fish are dead. I had total of 12 in there. What happened? why did they die? Was the water i added bad or something?

You need to treat the whole tank for ich just because one fish shows signs of ich does not the other can't get it. Also ich can hide in gills out of site.

When treating with salt you need to bring the temp ip as well 80F -82f is good.

Plecos don't do well with salt if it is used long term. Some deal with it better then others. My fav treatment for ich is coppersafe. When used right it can work wonders.

Don't forget water changes are your friend.
