Help Tank Death!

hello.
first of all my stats pH 7.5
ammonia 0
nitrate and nitrite 0
just saw the day before yesterday that one of my new balck angelfish had died of finrot and white spot.
i did a massive water change and gave them medicine for finrot and white spot. then the next day ...today i saw that abt all 8 of my tetras are dead by danios are dead,and another angel is dead.
just did a 90%wc and hoping they,ll be fine.

How long has the tank been set up? Did you cycle the tank? What size of tank is it? If you can answer these for us it will make it easier to help you.

its a 42 gallon tank, its fully cycled and it only has 2 tetras and 3 angelfish left after last nights die out.

Are you sure about your water stats and that you are doing them correctly with a liquid test kit not strips - because 0 nitrate is very unusual. People do have low readings if they have a lot of plants but its hardly ever 0.....

I'm sorry to hear about your losses.

There are a few other possibilities to explore as well. Are you sure that your fish had both ich and a bacterial infection? It's important to be sure because treatment of one involves different medicine and temperature than treatment of the other. Certain bacterial infections can cause ulcerations and erosion of fins that develop into fungus which appears to be like white spots or patches. Bacterial infections can sometimes sweep through a tank quickly killing all or many of the fish. Ich also looks like white spots, but more like tiny white dots, almost like salt has been sprinkled on them.

What temperature is your water? Are you certain that the medicines you added to treat both conditions are compatable with each other?

nitrate was 0 because i do 60%wc daily. thats why my angels were breeding like crazy.
and yes i,m sure they had fungus and ich and the medicine werecompatible.
but the other fish have stabilized now.
this proves that no matter how cute and beautiful the fish might look in your tank. you have to QT first.
cuz the 2 black angels were a new addition.
