OK...a while ago, I saw a picture of a planted tank. The tank was planted with dwarf baby tears in the foreground, blending into downoi which bordered the front of a piece of driftwood, I believe. Bordering the back of the drift wood was a stem plant with similar texture to HC and downoi, with reddish color. I have been looking for hours to find out what that stem plant was. I cannot locate the picture, but I saw it as an excellent example of how to blend textures of plants.

I would like to use these three plants, combined with java fern windelov and frogbit in my new tank. If you know the picture I am referring to, please post it. If not, and you can think of a stem plant that is pinkish/reddish and blends perfectly in texture with downoi/HC, please direct me to the plant name. I know this is vague, but I have been searching for a while without luck. I thought it was a rotala species, but now I am not sure. Thanks for any help in deciphering my weird post...lol. Any other plant suggestions that will help to match with the above plant combo, with textural appearance in mind, will be appreciated.

If you could link the picture I bet that would help the folks here ID it more effectively...

That's my problem...no matter how much I search, I can't find that picture. Oh well, it wasn't realistic to expect that someone would know the picture from my description. Sometimes, tanks really stand out to me....and I remember them well. I was hoping someone else would remember it...and perhaps know where to find it ;)

Was the pic on this site?
Look at the tank journals on this site.

LOL,,,don't roll your eyes at me (kidding). I did not see it here...I've tried every variation of search terms through google...

Could it be Rotala Rotundifolia? They have roundish pinky leaves which may fit your description?

If not, you could always look on the Green Machine under the red plants category and see if anything clicks there :p
