do MTS create enough waste to keep a filter alive, my heater blew last week and so i had to remove all fish and put them in a different tank, i have a lot of MTS in the tank and was wondering if they will keep the bacteria on the filter alive or will i have to cycle again when i get heater?

keep them well fed and the bacteria will survive, but only to the level to support the snails.
