Ive been givin 2 neon tetra by a friend and im not sure whats up with the one his spine is bent. He has no colour loss or eractic swimming though he actully looks quite happy. could it just be a natural defomation? i really dont want him to give my other fish a disease.

is the spine bent or the blue line?
the bend in the blue line indicates the fish is female. A straight blue line is male.
If the fish is physically bent then it could be Tuberculosis or a genetic deformity.
Any chance of a pic?

The actual spine is bent the fish looks deformed however saying that he swims fine. I also asked the guy who i had the fish off and he says the fish has always had a bent spine. Im still worried though i dont wanna get my tank infected. what should i do.

if the spine is bent and has been for a while then it is probably a genetic deformity and is nothing to worry about. Most diseases that cause the spine to bend usually kill the fish within a few months of the bending taking place.
