I was looking at that exact one and seen it recommended a glass top but some people in the reviews said it was working ok for them under a hood . But I didn't chance it . Mite be safer with a waterproof one

I'd look for one with a dimmer. @seangee (probably sick of me tagging him) said he had his lights on longer by keeping them at 60% & he's got a beautifuly planted tank.
