HELP my daughter just emptied a full tub of food

 scoop out what you can. Do a gravel vac (let it sink down first what you can't scoop out) and a 50% water change.
It's not the end of the world and all should be fine, but you might need to do some smaller water changes over the next few days depending on how much you were able to remove and if the water turns cloudy.

In addition to what bloo said to do, if you can monitor ammonia levels with a test kit do so, and if they spike do a large water change to help bring them down.

Turn off all pumps and filters for a few hours...As suggested above, let it settle after scooping out what you can with a fine mesh net...Then hydroclean as above, which is also a water chg...Dont feed for 3 or 4 days...let the filter and the bacteria catch up, cuz your ammonia is going to spike. Dont panic, the fish wont starve...They have been fed....LOL
