Hi All,

Just after some general advice on how to handle tank relocation!

I currently have a Juwel Trigon 180 tank which houses the following:
- Huge Plec (6 years old)
- 2 x corys
- 6 Clown loaches (1 massive!!)
- 2 large Angels
- 2 large gourms
- 1 shark
- 6 tetras

I need to relcoate them and their tank 40 miles away (approx 45 misn drive)

My concerns are over- spillage, stress, tempature fluctations, air and logistics (i.e use buckets or plasic bags)

If anyone has any advice on how to tackle this it would be much appreciated ( my goal is to avoid/limit deaths )

Thanks & regards

Emma

leave tank til last, make sure you know where tanks going in my place, bag all fish and make it comfortable for them, empty tank, also bag filer media in tank water, then arrive at new place, set tank up, add water from tap using cold and hot to make warmish water, then fill half way, add all fish bag's and open each one, float for around 20mins, then add a little water to each bag, float again for 20 and repeat then float again 20mins, oh yes and add filter media again to filter<do not squeeze the sponges, then empty all the water into your tank,,,,should go ok, dont ajust heater at all

I use 5-10gal buckets (1/2 to 3/4 full with airholes in the lid) rather than using bags, but otherwise I've done basically the same thing twice now.
