I had been busy and had not fed my moray for a week or so and when I tried to feed it and it did not seem interested. I usually tap the moray's cave with my tweezers and the moray pops out. i shook it out of it's cave to make sure it was actually in there. It seems pale and is acting oddly. Normally it watches me most of the time. What exactly could I be doing wrong? Freshwater Morays have a habit of claming up and not eating and starving.

is the salinity high enough. Thats bizarre cos if yours are anything like mine they go mad for food when you put the fish in

good luck

1.019. I tkink it may be laying eggs. They lay infertile eggsin crevices that just rot. They get real pissy too. I try and keep my temp lower and quarintine my fedders.

I find if they go off food then upping the SG a bit brings their appetite back.

If I'm not mistaken they occasionally will "hibernate" for a time, not eating for a couple weeks. Large ones, previously well fed, can go for quite a while without food, for a few months if memory serves.
