I'd say about 12-15 months, there past there prime by 6 months. I have 2 7-8 month olds and there already looking old.

be sad when there gone acherly cos I watch them being born. :(

my 7 and 8 month guppies ae looking great.they started breeding at 6 months as i underfeed them and they actually grew faster when they are 4 months to 6 months old as i force feed them.(fishes grow all their life but gets slower with age)
Heard that if you reduce amount of feed to animals their life span will increase provided you give them the bare minimal to be healthy.
