so i changed my betas water and when i put him back in the bowl he went crazy..
he was floating at the top almost on his side then he started going up and down the tank very slowly and now hes just sitting on the bottom.. he lives in a 2 gl tank and doesnt have a filter or a heater or lamp. im worried my house gets to cold at night and the new the water i put him in was to warm... idk what to do :/

a 2g tank is to small and you need a heaters and a fillter is best to have because if you do 75% water changes a day the ammonia will still build up fast. they water you added back to the tank was it a diffrent temp than it was before if it what its proberly in shock. dose it have any signs of illnes eg fungus, whitespot

Ouch!!!!... I'm a bit concerned here, as this is your first posting, it's not a nice way to get on the "good" side of our Betta members.....

They are all very committed to their species, and I'm sure, you (knowingly) knew that this is not on......

I'd suggest that you do a little research before you keep your 2nd Betta......(this 1 would probably die)....

Look through the previous threads in the Betta section, and try again..... Welcome to our forum.... in any case.

another good thing to ask, just in case, is if you dechlorinated the water you used for the water change

a good idea also is to read the stickies at the top of the "new to the hobby" forum, especially the "Cycling" and "General Advice" sections (linked here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=277264)

i agree with the above you need to get a heater get a filter get a bigger tank and learn how to look after a living creature before you own one
scot :(
