Help Me With My Tetra Problem..

I have two tetras, same colour as Roach, not sure which tetras they are. One is bigger than the other, and the smaller one seems to hide in the bottom corner behind a plant all day long, even when feeding.. when it comes out to feed it gets some food, and the other tetra chase's it.. is this agression or mating signs?

What should I do?

any particular reason they're in a pair and not in a proper shoal?

could be a bloodfin tetra:

in a pair it's likely one will dominate the other, hence the chasing your seeing, a proper shoal this would be spread amongst many and wouldn't be a problem.

Its not a bloodfin tetra, its all one colour and the end of his fins etc. look kind of neon hense why I got them.

Will my small tetra end up dieing?
