Help Me W/ A Problem

nmonks sent me suttin sayin it could be scrtached or cut skin.making him twirl in pain.and i diid see suttin red on his right gill plate

Do you mean a cut, if they look inflamed due to poor water quality or gill flukes.

Alright we know he was fine yesterday and the day you got it but that doesn't mean it would be find now so answer wilders question about the P.H.

The more you can tell us the better as we just get confused, we can't see your tank from here, so the more you tell us the easy it is to help, since it has a cut on the gill as he been breathing heavily, i would add abit of melafix to stop infection.

i said the water was fine.i just teted it.7.2 or so.

he has been breathin harder then normal

Increase aeration, to be honest the fish isn't sounding to good, how are the gills on the other fish just to rule parasites out.

The PH of your tank isn't the issue at hand. It's the difference between the store's PH and yours. How did you acclimate your fish?

Note: A more detailed title for your threads would be appreciated and would likely get more views, and more relevant responses.

i put the bag in 4 10 minutes then added alittle of my water.then i added more 5 mins later and so on so fourth

What we are trying to say your ph is 7.2 but the stores ph could of been say 6.5 meaning that you would have to climatise them for hours adding water gradually, causing ph shock.

O.i dont know the ph of the tank that the guy held them in.(i had my fish shipped)

I would ring them and find out, to rule ph shock out. when buying fish that are being shipped test the water in the bag for ph so you no how long to climatise them for.

ok.will do next time.but i dont believe it was ph shock.because i chased this fish under the rock and then BAM...it was like it was challenged
