Just got these from my LFS, I was assured they were M&F. But looking at them in my tank the more coloured one has the colour of a female but is being more dominant over the smaller, less coloured Krib.

Neither of them have the long fins of a male.

Thankyou.

Tim.

Well.... IMO, Kribs are very different to the norm where the males are normally the beautiful speciman (humans included)..... the female Krib is more colourful and and more attractive than the Male.... You have one very colourful fish in your tank and one (submissive) Dull looking individual which I think is definitely a male..... the other one however... has a lot of colour, but the behaviour of being dominant, and also the many dots in the dorsal..... makes me think that this could also be male, but better conditioned than the other one..... HOWEVER.... the vid is jerky and moves from scene to the next before it is possible to make a positive decision..... I can say that the one without colour.... is a male..... The colourful one..... I suspect to be a ripe female,... but could also be a male.

The more colourful one is definately a female. As for the less colourful one, i would go with female also due to her having yellow on the dorsal fin and to the top of the body. Maybe add the less colourful one to the main section of the tank to see if it colours up any. The female can also be dominant over the male, and sometimes when breeding can give the male a real battering.

i would go with two females, i can normally spot a male quite easily, but neither of them screamed male to me, bad vid made it harder, best just to leave the camera on a flat surface rather than follow them.
