In a bare 10 gallon tank I have HUGE black Mollie that's obviously going to be delivering soon. She's insanely energetic, and eats everything in sight.

How do I keep her from devouring her young without cramming her in a tiny breeder trap?

In the past, I've kept a variety of guppies in a heavily planted tank, and never had a problem with this!

Only thing you can do is put her in a plastic container where the fry can swim to safety below, and that's all you can do or let them take their chances in the main tank and swim to safety from the mother if their is plenty of hiding spaces and plants.

You could also get some breeding grass and put that on the bottom of the tank so the fry would be able to hide.
