Help Me Please

I have a platy and she has a really long white string coming out of her. She keeps lying on the floor of the tank and eating gravel. Sometimes she stops swimming altogether what should I do!!! Is it a parasite or over eating. I only just bought her from the shop.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry your first post has the nature it does. Sounds like an internal parasite to me. You can treat it with medication that you dose in your tank.
