Help Me Please! My Fish Died :(

if your worried they arent getting enough air, do like a said a lower the water level a bit. Also look at them are there any sores, white spots, or anything that looks a bit odd about them? it is possible that on top of a uncycled tank you may be dealing with an illness.

on my fish yes i do exspect it exspecially after what ive put it through since starting and not knowing anything in january. it has been through all my mess ups and everything else. It is my angelfish, i got it at the size of a nickle, and it is well over a 50 cent piece, im not sure if your from american but if you are you know that means it has grown alot. its probably 3 inches long and 5 inches high. but things its they same small size and tries to squeese through the smallest of places.

Aww lol <33 You really love your fishy <33 When I got my first fish tank a long long time ago I had gotten 2 small goldfish and they grew to be like 5 inches long and 2 or 3 inches high, I sold them to my fish store. Well I will definately consider lowering the water level a bit. I don't think i'm gonna do it today since its almost 11pm. I am debating on if I should take the fish back to the store or not. I read in other posts that 4 balloon mollies for a 10 gallon is too much. They also said that having balloon mollies in a cycling fish tank is bad because they poop alot, I agree. I don't know if I should go fishless or not. I am starting to really love my fish.

I am gonna go check my fish for weird spots and stuff :)

okay so 3 out of the 4 balloon mollies look good. The 1 black molly has some white stuff neer her butt, shes pooping at the moment heh <3 :) Thats about it. I don't think the white stuff is anything bad, I think its just apart of her but I wouldnt know. Kinda hard to see because its musty water. I just did a huge water change so there should be plenty oxygen.. I am still clueless to why they are swimming at the top =/

yea i dont have any more info for you unfortunately. I do know they when mine started to hover around the top near a back corner, the didnt make it much longer. I hope yours do thou.

Okay well I moved the filter up so that the clean water coming out of the filter breaks the surface of the water so oxygen is no longer a problem. They are still at the surface so I have no idea what the problem is, they are moving alot more though. I hope they live, I pray to god they live overnight. I should go to bed soon so its about 11:00 pm now. I usually wake up at about 9:30am so around 10 hours from now I will be able to check on them again. Think I should take them back to the fish store tomorrow ??? I have a betta fish that I can put in there untill its done cycling. I can't believe it takes like a month to cycle a tank, thats soo long!! Well I wish myself luck, if they are still alive tomorrow I might take them back to the fish store, depending on your answer :) no pressure xD lol.. well I probably will, and I'll probably put my betta in there, it sounds like a good idea. Ta ta for now <33

bettas are alot more hardier than the others, i mean its still not good for it but i have had bettas live several years under horrible conditions (when i was yojnger i was a horrible fish keeper), if the fish make it through the night i would take them back see if you can get that money back and use it to unvest in a bottle of pure ammonia. use the bottle of ammonia to cycle the tank instead of either. thats just what i would do. If they try to give you crap about getting your money back, let them know that they gave you wrong information and you are trying to save them before they expire. and that when your tank is ready for ifhs youll be back.

Yes Yes! <33 They lived many nights that ive had them. I bought a Liquid test kit and there is absolutely NO ammonia at all. The Cloudyness of my tank is clearing up, slowly. So thats good. I do daily water changes of about 45% Now should there be ammonia in my tank? would fishless cycling be faster than what i'm doing now?? I still have the fish in my tank, they no longer are at the surface and are swimming around happily. My tank is still probably not cycled though. There is no Nitrites or Nitrates or Ammonia in the water. The pH of the water is off the roof alkaline though.
