I just wanted to share this with you guys to confirm how silly our bettas really are.

I had just gotten fishished putting live plants in sparkles' 6 gallon house and had left for about 10 mins. came back to check on him and see hows hes liking it and i couldnt find him anywhere... he was gone..... well i turned on the light and here he was:

he had gotton himself stuck in this plant... ahahah, he was all interwined in the stocks and it took him a while to wiggle out once he saw me.


Well it looks like my boy is happy again... thanks everyone for the advise on my 'sad betta' post

Mine never sleeps in the plants, he likes to sleep on the top of the heater. Nice betta you got there.

I think they genetically remember days of yore in the jungle, when pellets and frozen foods lurked hidden like so many Easter egg trails in the forest.
One of mine always makes me nervous forcing paths through the undergrowth because I'm always afraid he'll get stuck - and I suspect that may also be a reason he does it.
It's so funny when Mum gets paranoid...

oh yes, one of mine sleeps flat out on his side, makes me think hes dead. and when you turn the lights on when mine have been sleeping it scares the crap out of them.
