Well I wanted to get syn. Lucipinnis for my 46 gal bowfront but I've decided to go for a community tank with some neons, celestial danios and shrimp. I really liked my Lucipinnis school when I kept Malawi but I don't want to risk the danios ending up as chow and I've never kept shrimp.i know I can keep corys but I'm just wondering what are some other options?thanks guys

If it's a bottom dweller you want, you could look at Kuhli loaches, one of the smaller plecos such as the bristlenose, dwarf chain loaches etc most catfish & loaches prefer a sand or fine soft gravel substrate.
Have a look on planet catfish for other options.

That is a good size tank, you can do nice schools of each fish, it will be awesome!  So perhaps look for a small / pygmy cory so you have a school of them as well.

Be sure to check a source such as seriouslyfish.com to see how many of each you need at a minimum, for them to feel safe and be happy and healthy.

I have sand. I want to have a few hillstream loaches once my tank is stocked. I already have one. Will other loach species coexist well with the hillstreams? I will look into some of the dwarf corys in the mean time but man are they bland fish in my opinion

Hillstream loaches like fast flowing oxygen rich water, they also prefer cooler temperatures, that will limit what tankmates might be suitable, the Cpd's wouldn't like that much current though the lower temp would suit them
