Help =Fish Stranded In Empty Leaking Tank!

Came home from work tonight, noticed a strange noise and burning smell. To my horror a large tank had sprung a leak and was almost empty with 25+ gallons of water on the floor. Pump running dry and overheated. Heater burnt out. My poor fish were stranded in 1-3cm ofcold water,barely alive. Hastily filled a plastic crate with dechlorinated lukewarm water , netted semi conscious fish and transferred to crate.
Fish are
4x paradise fish (2m,2f)
4 large female guppies
6 assorted corries
1 weatherloach
Yes I know it's an odd mixture but guppies are unwanted rescues, refugees from another tank
Strangely guppies were first to recover and swimming fairly normally on the surface. Paradise fish re lying motionless on bottom, gills and pectoral fins still moving. (1 paraduse has started swimming) 2 corries moving and gulped air from surface, the rest motionless
Should I add an airstone even though they are all air breathers?
Any advice from members who have faced similar disasters please?

bad luck!!

just keep them heated, with gentle water flow (you have spare filter) with some plastic plants or a spawning mop for support, and keep them in the dark... leave them be til tomorrow morning. Net out any (hopefully none) dead ones, oh and add stress coat it can help.

I'd get your filter media in the water with an airstone bubbling through it, keep that alive.

Put the airstone in straight away to keep water aerated!also keep checking water with a theremometer and topping it up with warm declorinated tap water!Also try and put a small filter in it but make sure theirs not too much of a current!Also add some stress coat !

Moving them straight from cold to luke warm water could be disasterous, they ought to be gently brought back to normal temps through drip acclimitising or fish in bag of cold water floating in bucket of normal temp water for a while.

Normally I float fis to acclimatise but this was a real emergency =loach was buried in damp sand and the rest were partly covered by 2cm of water. They would have died if I waited even a few minutes. Luckily I got home just in time, another 10 mins and it would hv ebeen too late.Most of them have started swiming a little now
Don't have a spate filter AND my extension lead is soaked too, miracle fish and I weren't electrocuted by soaked carpet next to electrics. Need to move fish tonight to other tanks Please see my other later post and advise me on rehoming options
