Honestly there only mollies so don't be too disheartened if they don't survive. They breed probably as readily as rabbits do :) So let nature take its course and if they get eaten then its extra nutrition for your other livestock.

If you really want to keep them perhaps a small 2ft 2nd hand rearing tank is a worthwhile purchase. Failing that you could see if a LFS would take them off your hands.

LFS don't normally take fish until they're about 1-2 inches length.

i have to meny baby mollys what shall i do? (like 20 +)

Congratulations on your first molly fry!
No need to spend a lot of money -a plastic storage crate for £2.99 will make a great nursery tank for the babies. You can get a cheap 25W heater on Ebay but if your place is warm you may not even need it this time of year. Feeed ry on finely crushed (like sand)fish flakes or better still get some special high protein fry food. I raised my baby mollies on it , got 100g fry food from Mersey Aquatics -powerseller specialising in fish food on Ebay
My young mollies are 1.5 inches now an dhae great personalities. Good luck with your fry!

mine r constantly a problem... the trap ooked horrible so i just let nature take what it wants... my firts batch was bout 20 aswell .... about half survived

you can put them in a 30 litre tank until they are big enought to survive by themselves..

there all in a net chached them all to day no prob had them for bout 5 days and i had a lil bach of 4 a month a go all lived and the mom looks big again liek she did be for so i might have some more

Congrats on your fry,you will have more no doubt

My platy has just dropped for the 2nd time along with another drop from a different platy,i have 2 heavy platys due within the next few days

I have got 52 in a 30l tank, but the next 2 drops i will let nature take its course and leave them in the main tank unless i see them in danger

I had a similar problem with the trap getting messed up,even cleaning it every evening didn't help.

I find it much easier now they are in a separate tank,i just use a hose and suck up the bottom mess easy has theres no substrate and do a w/c every few days, they're certainly growing faster now :good:
