That was a huge, huge, HUGE mistake. I got him to swim into a bag and all I did was float the bag in the big tank and he absolutely freaked out big time. I've put him straight back into the small tank and he's now floatong upside down on his back gasping. I fear I've done him in.

Ok, I've done that and left him in the dark. He was still upside down.

I guess he must feel very vulnerable without a tail and freaked when he saw the other fish particularly as it was my large pearl gouramin than went up and had a good look at him. I hope he pulls through.

I just feel bad that I thought I was doing him a favour by getting him out of the small tank.

He was doing fine in the small tank and you said he looked better so don't beat yourself up. You did what you thought was best for him by trying to move him

First mistake I made was leaving the fish shop without checking them, I wont be doing that again. At least the other 3 are healthy and very active.

If it helps the life he had with you would have been infinately better than being left in the shop
