Help.....Fighting Blue Acaras?

Hi,

I have a couple of Blue Acaras in my tank that are starting to behave rather oddly. They appear to fighting but I'm not sure. They make contact at the mouth then appear to do some kind of 'tug of war' except they seem to swim toward each other. The Parrot Cichlid in the same tank attempts to 'break them up'. Apart from this occasional odd behaviour, the fish are generally happy.

Any ideas as to what's going on?

Blue Acaras are New World Cichlids. Can you tell me if there fins are both long and pointed or rounded please?

you may have a pair , male and female , or just 2 fish trying establish territories or a hierarchy .

It would be helpful if you can answer VIP's question .

Also you may want to move your question to the new world forum , and get more opinions .
