This morning i woke up and found my biggest angel picking away at a plant. A closer look showed me thay were angelfish eggs. I was so shocked there were loads of fish around. They are in a community and now i have placed the pland into a 3 gallon tank With 1/2 water from the community and 1/2 new water. can anyone hepl me there is only about 20 on the leaf they ate the rest. I will go and get pics right away.

Thanks
Sean

Hi,
You should try to supply the eggs with much oxygen as you can.
(Angel)fish eggs bend in addition to mushrooms.
A small diaphragm pump is a good aid.
But i thing you only have a small chance, that only a few babys survive!
But, good luck!
Many greetings,
Robin

HI good/ bad news they have just had another 200ish but im gonna let them care for them.
Could i put them with the parents in a 10uk gallon tank?

seems it would need to be 2' tall. so maybe not! lol i have the same thing atm!!

We both have angelfish eggs in communitys at the same time. I wasnet even trying to breed them. Im going to wait for them to hatch then move the babies alone to a 10 gallon aquarium. All of the eggs are in a 4 gallon at the moment. What can i feed them when they hatch???

Thanks
Sean

Hi,
I would try to draw up the larvaes separatet from the parents.
Artemia (salina) Neuplien are an ideal start fodder. You´ll se, they will fast grow up.
Many greetings
Robin

Freshly hatched brine shrimp are the way to go with angel fry. Do that from the start, learn from my mistakes. :)

Here's a little chart to give you some idea of the stages they go through, from spawn to swimmers;

IF THE EGGS ARE FERTILE:
Day 0: Eggs spawned in streaks, are clear or translucent.
Day 1: Some infertile eggs turn white.
Day 2: More eggs turn white, wiggling tails emerge from clear eggs. Some white eggs may get fuzzy.
Day 3: Tadpole shape forms with large yolk sack, fry remain stuck to the slate.
Day 4: Small eyes form.
Day 5: Eyes grow large, yolk sack shrinks. Start brine shrimp hatchery.
Day 6: Some fry are free swimming.
Day 7: All free swimming, time to start feeding.
