Hi,

I'm from MI, and relatively new to aquatics. I am in the process of cycling my first "real" tank (10 gallon), and i am finding the process quite daunting. It is a "hurry up and wait" kind of situation, however the process is almost complete! Upon starting the cycling process, I viewed this forum as a guest numerous times and found it quite helpful! Needless to say, I felt it was time to join in! :)

Kind Regards,

Welcome too the forums :) What are your plans for your tank? :) Look forward to seeing your name around.

Today I purchased 2 Weitzmani Corydoras from my LFS, which I currently have placed in an established tank for safe-keeping until my tank is done cycling. I simply could not pass them up, they were so cute! :)

Welcome to the forum Algir.
We each have our own special interests but it sounds like you are starting to become a well experienced fish keeper on a small scale. Something to watch out for on your cories is that they interact far more playfully if you have at least 5 or 6 of a species in a single tank. For many years I kept 1 or 2 cories in each of my tanks and then one day I got a huge tank so I bought a dozen of a type. Ever since I saw those guys interact and play in that tank, I have refused to keep less than 5 or 6 of a species in any tank. A small tank, like a 10 gallon, can hold that many pygmy cories with ease and many larger tanks can hold that many medium sized species of cory. Mix and match really does not work when it comes to getting that playful cory behavior, but almost any cory species kept in numbers is a delight to watch.
