reading through the pages of his posts you will probably find a lot of answers to any of the questions you have. i'm pretty sure your tank would be plenty big enough for them..i don't think they have a heigh requirement, but i'm pretty sure i read that a tank of 36" is big enough for two of them, so yours would be fine.

and got to the new to hobby section, at the top of the section there is a link to beginners resource center. start readig through those artiles. the more information you get the better of a fish keeper you will be.

Thank you very much for all of your replies. I have plenty of reading to be getting on with now and I appreciate you all pointing me in the right direction. I have been breeding snakes for a number of years and this is all completely different and (seems) a lot more complicated! First thing I need to do from now is to decide on a species and learn about it - and then read about this 'fishless cycling that Claire has mentioned. It may seem as though I've done a runner but don't worry, I will be around reading posts and will everynow and then post up questions if there is something I don't understand. Ultimately, in a month or so I will be on a fair bit as I get closer to setting up my tank.

Thank you all again very much.

Jimmy.
