I already know ok, I'm not posting here anymore because all I ever do is get harrassed about my tank. I didnt know anything about fish 2 years ago when I got this tank!! These 2 fish have lived fine for over a year! It seems I can never just ask a general question without getting ####.

Don't feel like that, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and it is up to you to decide on the best course of action, given all the replys.

Some people just have bad ways of saying things, sometimes, I know I do.

Thanks Wolf. I will mention here a bit about what I told you in PM. It's SO frustrating for me to post on fish forums. This is why I left another fish forum, because of the same kinds of reactions from the 'fish people'. I already know that technically my 2 fish need a bigger tank, but no one listens when I try to tell them that they have lived FINE in this tank for almost two years. I got the tank and fish when I knew nothing about them. I have learned a lot and one day yes I will get a bigger tank, but for many reasons I just cant right now, so I do the best I can with what I have. And my fish are happy and healthy with no problems. I can understand if they were dying, I would have to do something quick, but they're not! I like them and I like to learn about them but its just so frustrating when I just want a simple question answered and I get harrased about my tank. I had posted another thread last week in the picture forum and I got harrased there too.. so its just frustrating if anyone understands, probably not but I had to say how I feel and I wont say it again! Thanks for listening.

Here's a new pic with the sea shells and limestone rock. Hope they work to raise my ph.

I also made more spots for them to hide, I adjusted a large shell with the turtle, now it seems they have plenty of places to hide.

if you took my comments to heart then im sorry.

i only gave my opinion. But you have to realise that people WILL always have an opinion on something like keeping african cichlids in a 5 gallon tank (especially on an african cichlids forum where these are the fish we all love.)

Dont take it to heart but also don't dismiss it.
