A newbie tropical fish keeper here who went on quite a lot of bad advice from a LFS. Glad I've found this site though.
Just in the middle of ordering a freshwater test kit to see if my tank is dangerous.
Got a 63l Jewel Rekord tank, which had gold fish in it up until a few weeks ago.
Planted the tank up and left it to set for a few weeks with regular water changes, then went and bought fish! Oops.
Once I get the test kit, I shall look at the levels and assess what I should do then.
This site has been a great find, and I haven't stopped reading it in the last 2 days! My knowledge is expanding, and I've learnt a hell of a lot.
