Hello From Saskatchewan!

Hi everyone!
 
Just thought I'd post to say hello! I am a potter from Saskatchewan, and a total newbie to fish keeping. I have been wanting to get into the hobby for a while now but never took the plunge, my husband bought me a 45 gallon fluval tank starter kit that came with a fluval heater and C4 filter. From what I've seen online they seem to have good reviews so I'm hoping that I'm off to a good start! 
 
I've been snooping around the forum for a while now so I'm excited to finally be posting! I have been doing lots of reading on fishless cycling and will be starting to cycle my new tank in a couple weeks once we are moved into our new place, I'm a little nervous as it seems like a bit of a daunting task but I know it will be worth it! I'm not sure what my plans are for stocking the tank yet, but I figure I will have some time to figure it out while my tank is cycling!

Hi and welcome to the forums! Good on you for doing research before jumping directly in keeping fish!
You will see, this is a very rewarding hobby, and soon enough, you will be dreaming about a second, third, fourth tank
 
With a 45 Gallon tank, you can stock a few fish, I personally have a 46 Bowfront tank and have a few rummynose tetras, celestial pearl danios, pygmy corydoras and a pearl gourami in there.
I also have a load of plants!
