Hi People,

I'll keep this short and to the point - New to fish, this is my first set-up.

Tank - Juwel Rekord 70, 3 weeks old.
Plants - Hygrophila corymbosa, Anubias barteri nana, Echinodorus bleheri and 3 others i dont know.
Fish - Tetra Neon (5) 2 weeks in tank and Glowlight (4) 1 week in tank.
Treatments - TetraAqua, the decholrinator and SafeStart.
Food - Only flakes at the mo' - King British 'Tropical fish' flakes.
Substrate - Natural gravel, smooth, about 2-3mm. To a depth of 4cm-10cm
Decor - Bogwood, Slate, Little stones.

Bad things - snails, little snails that i didnt ask for, keep taking them out to the bin.
- brown hairy algae covering leaves.

Short term - 2 or 3 Otto dwarf suckermouth cats OR Panda Cats.
- Dwarf Gourami x 2.

Long term - Shrimp, Snails.

Ok, that's it from me for now.

One of my short term aims has been achieved ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :good:
This weekend i added 4 Otocinclus Vittatus to my tank.
My tank is only new so i was worried they would'nt cope.
They've already eaten about 90% of the brown algae in my tank. The plants look new ! ! !

Things i've discovered about Oto:

They love brown algae. But they dont eat the 'hair'.
They produce a whole load of poop - i mean LOADS !!! !!!
They aren't very nocturnal, in fact not at all.
They are fast swimmers.

Anyway thats it for now..
