I've gotten the betta bug back, and hope to get back into the hobby again! I used to post here years ago, and luckily remembered my log-in and password. :)
I'm starting off with one guy, and when I move in December I hope to get more and eventually start breeding some. These guys are currently getting off the plane in Georgia from Thailand. I hope to get him by Thursday or Friday. I went in with a friend from work so we could split shipping costs. The blue boy is mine, and the yellow is hers. I hope to start interacting in the forum again, and I'm glad to see it's still up and running. I doubt anyone is still here from 2005 when I started, so I'll be happy to get to know you all and your beautiful bettas!

hi nice to see your back into fish's lol there stunning betta's they will make any tank look good just wished my fish wouldnt eat one if i put it in but i think im going to set up a small bedroom tank to keep a betta and small community in :good:

I would consider him a marble. He is a HMPK as well. He will be going in my office and I am trying to think of a clever name at the moment. I work in a prison, so I'm thinking something prison related may be cute.

Hi there and welcome back to the forum! What stunning boys!! I love marbles and yours is a real beauty! I hope they both arrive safe and sound :good: :D

Unfortunately the Yellow boy was DOA. The other one is here and beautiful though! Really sad because the yellow one was for my co-worker and she was just gutted over it.

Sorry to hear about the Yellow :-( he was a beaut

Can't wait to see your guy though, i love Marble HMPKs

Really sorry to hear about the yellow,- but sooooo glad that your stunning marble turned up safely. Can't wait to see more pics of him. There's a few of us marble fans on here! :D

Adorable. Both of them are beautiful Bettas! Welcome back to the hobby. :)

The seller refunded for the Yellow, so I was pretty happy with the transaction. My boy has much less white on him than in the picture. You know how marble change, it's crazy. I got him in his new tank tonight. Will take pics of him once he gets settled in and comfortable. He's kind of staying towards the back right now. I did all the plants myself, from flowers I got from Hobby Lobby. My rock is from my 75gallon saltwater tank that is currently empty. I sold a lot of my live rock off, but kept some and just let it die so I could use it for freshwater purposes down the road. Here is my tank (5 gallon):

He came from Thailand. Got him from the website bettafishstore.com

Maybe I will get one from there soon

I just went to there website and saw the yellow Betta still for sale it looked like the same exact picture

Is this him? http://bettafishstore.com/Halfmoon/SUPER-YELLOW-HALFMOON/flypage.tpl.html

Yes, it is. I also noticed that and brought it up to the seller after I received the DOA yellow. With the broken English it was hard to get the exact explanation, but I think it boils down to the use of stock photos for fish that look basically the same which is not that uncommon. He stated that he has several yellows that look pretty much identical. Though, he did say it wasn't the exact photo (and I know it is because I saved mine on the desktop), so perhaps he is confused.
