In my new tank, so far just on the heater and a little on the glass. 125l tank with a tetratec ex1200, 2 x 20w lights that are on for 8 hours a day. Currently not dosing with anything but have TMC substrate.

My filter is cycled (cloned from my old one)and that and my new tank have been set up for almost 2 weeks. I've only noticed the algae today. What's causing it and how can I clear it up?

Got a pic so we can see exactly what type of green algae it is? :)

I tried but it's not that clear. It came off very easily. It's hair rather than spotty.

What's the flow like where the algae is?

My spray bar finishes just above where the algae is on the heater. Probably the plants next to it are the ones i cant really see swaying. I don't know how to tell with the glass at the front though? Do you think I don't have enough flow?

Could be to little flow in that spot, spot dosing a little liquid carbon on to it will help then upping the flow in that area, also having a goat it with something like a toothbrush will help, if its hair algae then constantly harassing it helps too believe it or not lol. :)
