While i was on vacation one of my platys got ick.i moved the other two out of its tank and hes the one left.he looks like hes on his last straw and im thinking i wanna euthanize.I read that piece but i need to know what clove oil is and where i can get it.

my dad came home
killed it
dropped him down the sink and turned on the shredder.he told me i was bein to emotional and that it was just a lower lifeform.he was my first fish.now i see y people give up the hobby.He is survived by 2 babies and his mate.and other babies in other homes.

YAY!the miracle of life.im soooo happy.i came in to check on how mo's girlfriend was getting along and i see one little platy FRY swimming across!ive check alot cant seem to find nemore.what about that!ive been sooooo sad since i killed him and now i can sleep knowing that he passedon life as soon as he left.The fry is in his own little container bowl thingy for the night til i figure out what to do next.

I cant believe you just told someone to flush thier fish (ger87410) Did you know it takes them hours to die.. All those chemical burns And I really dont think a shredder is the humane way to put down a fish either.. Fish have feelings just like me and you. I cant believe you all say stuff like that..( I cant believe some one would give somebody advice like this.....Just flush it. Please dont flush a fish they are better ways to put a fish down..They are a very nice well written article on how to kill fish in the beginner section.. Please go read that before you drop one down a shredder or flush it down the toilet...

You should dispose of them threw the garbage wrap them up and all that good stuff.. I do know that u shouldnt flush the poor things while they are alive..that is a cruel thing to do..

The only problem with flushing them (alive or dead ) is that the bones will remain there. So I guess no flushing large fish.
