Hi All,

I have a 60litre tank with a 50watt heater. Current stock include Cory's, Harlequins, Cardinals & Neons.

What temp is ideal for them? (I notice the light on my heater is on quite a lot during the day and with the temperature hopefully set to increase over the summer I was looking to review this).

I had raised the temp a few months back when I noticed a slight outbreak of Ich which was since disappeared.

I know the Cardinals are very sensitive to any changes in water (don't know if that includes temp too?) so was wondering what temp is ideal for my tank?

PS: I've not had my Cory's spawn in many months (I reckon this is as a result of the temp raised)

You could well be right about that. What kind of corys do you have?

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies so far. The heater is currently set at 26 degrees. Should I lower it a little?

Will if affect my Cardinals at all?

I will do it later as I have to head out now and would rather keep an eye on it for a few hours.

Thanks :)

The temperature is a bit high for most cories and I know that the harlequins will do fine at 24C because mine do.
