Heaters..

hi every one i was looking at my tank today when i saw that the temp was 74, i guess my heater broke, it is still somewhat warm out were i live and i knew i was going to have to update my heaters anyways, so i was wonder what would be good for a 50 gallon tank its under a window and its like half open top ( its a metal screen and a box where my lights are) i was hoping for just one large one but i dont know how many watts to go with? winters around here get rather cold some times -30 with the windchills so i need a good heater.

Maybe you'll want to think about two heaters. Since you have such a large tank, that way your not putting so much pressure on one heater to work so effciently.
