Heater Size

Hi. The standard rule of thumb for heaters is to have a heater that is rated at 3 or 4 watts per gallon of tank water. So on a 10 gallon tank you need a heater that is 30 to 40 watts. Your tank is roughly 85 US gallons so using the 3-4 watts per gallon rule you need a 255-340 watt heater. You could get one large heater, but I think most people would reccommend that you get two smaller heaters of either 150 watts or 200 watts each and place one at each end of the tank for more even heat distribution.
Hope this helps.

I think you would be better getting 2 heaters at opposite ends of the tank to try and keep the temps even. Your tank is about 300 litres Strictly speaking a single 300w should handle it tho it would be working at the top of it's range. I'd look at getting 2 200w or 300w at opposite ends of the tank.
