Ok, starting out I am going to suggest you stay away from the Stop brand heater. It's a cheap piece of carp.

As a replacement I got a Tetra brand Whisper Heater, 2-15 gallon. For my 5 gallon tank.

Anyone else have one? If yes, what do you think of it?
