Put the platty in the hospital tank. Just make sure the water you put in is not too cold or warm. She should be fine over night but I wouldn't leave her without the heater for too long. Try and keep your house above 76 degrees overnight (at least the room the fish are in) so that her tank stays warm.

Is the hospital tank cycled? if not just do water changes every day or every other day to ensure she gets better. How big is this tank?

Well it's only a small plastic tank (approx 25 litres) I have a sponge in my Fluval that is cycled ready to go onto a sponge filter tomorrow . I can't get anything tonight lfs shut
I have a air pump so it would get water movement it's just the temperature of the hospital tank that worrys me

seen as its plastic if you have a hot water bottle fill it up and lean it against the tank and push them right up to a wall so its really pushing on the plastic, that should be fine. if you do it just before you go to bed it should be fine over night just for one night :D

That is a great idea!!!! :) I would take the thermometer from another tank just to make sure this one doesn't get too hot.

I'd move the platy into the new tank asap.

good luck!

I managed to get hold of a breaders net last night so put the platty in it in the main tank - not ideal incase of disease spread I know but I felt more comfortable with the water stats / temp and cycled filter its still alive this morning and has been treated with anti fungal treatment (cant remember the name but its a king british make) - was told to basically squirt it directly onto the fish by LFS last time I had a fish in this situation. Then been put back into the breader net so its not getting attacked till I get home from work with mini heater and sponge filter so I can get it into a hospital tank.

I have a feeling its being attacked because I have 3 plattys and the other 2 seem to have paired up, I think i'll go get a few more as I have space in my tank. That may help.
