Haze On Glass - 1 Inch Starting At Sand Substrate Upwards ?

Hi All,
 
Ive noticed a white haze on the inside on my tank.
 
Its only about 1 inch in hight, but right along the front of my tank.

Ive onyl had fish in say just over a week and its something ive just started noticing?!?!?!?!?
 
Confused
 
Does anyone have any suggestion what it could be??
 
How can I remove it??

It's hard to see from the picture but is it in the water or on the glass.

If its on the glass it's probably algae - I always get a layer just above the sand that just needs a fortnightly wipe with a cloth to get rid of

Looks like it could just be a few diatoms, if this is the case they should wipe away easily.

Yes looks like an algae growth and can be wiped off before gravel cleaning and water change.
Mine is often worst near the gravel. But also, my algae eaters tend to work upwards on the glass and leave the bottom inch or so- to the height of the length of the fish from tail to mouth!
