Tips on marketing:
Go online! A good online shop will get attention.... Also join the Betta congress and show, or get a transhipper deal... Because if you want to suply, you will need more than you can breed in terms of variety and quality.
If you want to breed, do it for your passion for it and not the money... You won't make much doing it when you look at what your overhead costs will be.
Tips:
-train yourself to recognize a high quality Betta (either show or marketing wise, because that will have to be your investment)
-study genetics and practices how to breed that set of qualities (finnage, scales, color, etc)
-talk to your LFS about buying your surplus at wholesale (price WILL be about half what they sell for)
-develop photography skills... Because online marketing will need GOOD photos
-set up an Aquabid account and learn how to pack and ship them to buyers
